The prices quoted throughout our online store include standard UK VAT where appropriate. We reserve the right to change our prices at any time. There may be occasions where prices are incorrectly quoted or change at short notice as a result of circumstances beyond our control. If this situation occurs you will be informed of the correct price by telephone or email as soon as possible and should you not wish to proceed, that part of your order will be cancelled.
VAT is added at the current UK rate, except where goods are zero rated for tax purposes. All quoted prices on the online shop are inclusive of VAT where applicable.
Your goods will be delivered using either Royal Mail or a specialist carrier. Delivery charges are shown when you place an order.
We dispatch goods on the same day if the order is received before 12.00 hrs, Monday - Friday, delivery is dependent on your location your choice of delivery and when you have ordered. Delays may be experienced during certain times of the year and if this is the case we will contact you as soon as possible via email. Deliveries to remote areas of the country may take longer to deliver than the times specified above. Please see the main website for details of current delivery charges and times for different areas of the UK. Any orders over 2kg in weight being shipped outside the UK will be subject to an extra postage charge, an Aitken & Niven representative will contact you, and a price for that delivery can be given. All deliveries will need a signature on receipt and if there is no one present to receive the delivery a card will be left. You may specify an alternative delivery address at the time of order if you choose.
When placing an order, the address given must be the same as that registered with your credit card company. To process your order more efficiently, we also request a land line telephone number (not a mobile) to be used in case of query. Credit card payments are processed by the RBoS online merchant Worldpay from whom you will receive a separate notification of payment via email. We accept payment by Visa, Mastercard, Switch, Delta and American Express by secure server. Unsuitable or defective items can be returned for exchange to Aitken&Niven (the supplier) providing they are received within 30 days of the original delivery date in a new, unused condition (we understand that you will have to try on goods, where applicable, for size and fit) and accompanied by a completed returns form. We include a returns form in every order we send out. Where a change of mind or decision is made the consumer must pay for the cost of returning goods to Aitken&Niven. If the goods are proven to be faulty then Aitken&Niven will refund your postage costs. The return of mail order goods can be made to any of our stores or by mailing them to the address below. We recommend that returned items are sent using an insured delivery service for your own protection. A re-delivery charge (at our standard rates) will apply to all items returned for exchange. Defective/Faulty products will be replaced without a further delivery charge. Please note that you are entitled to cancel your order if you so wish, provided that you exercise your right no longer than 7 working days beginning on the day after you receive the goods.
If you wish to exercise your right to cancel this contract after your order has already been despatched please follow the procedure set out in our returns procedure above.
If you (the consumer) cancel an order and do not return the goods or take reasonable care of them, we will make every effort to contact you (the consumer) first to arrange a return. If unsuccessful we reserve the right to charge fully for the goods received by you (the consumer).
Information regarding you and the transaction you have made will be held by Aitken & Niven Ltd for a reasonable period after the transaction and made available to you, given suitable notice and proof of identity.
